Welcome Baby Daisy Mae

Kelli & Daisy MaeIt’s been a long time in the making but Daisy Mae has finally arrived.  Makers Estimating Director Luke Brighton and his wife Kelli are now proud parents who have been planning this day for a long time with assistance from first rate medical staff we are able to welcome Daisy Mae Brighton.

Luke for a number of days had been very confident that it would be all over quickly, painless and all done in time for kick off at Solihull Moors and having been sent home on Friday with the message it could take from 8 hours to 3 days was quietly confident of getting to the game.

Following an early tea and quiet evening in as Kelli remained in hospital Luke steeled down to a full night’s sleep only to be called at 4.30am with the message that the baby was on her way. Quick dash to the hospital for proceedings to calm down after the administration of some much-needed pain relief Daisy Mae made her appearance but not after a slight panic when her heartbeat dropped to 30 beats per minute causing the midwifery team to bring proceedings along with Daisy Mae making her first appearance at 3.23 pm, almost 13 hours after the initial call.

Luke and Daisy MaeBorn on the 1st October and weighing in at 7lbs 4oz, after her slight ordeal Daisy Mae and Mum are doing fine and are now both at home following an overnight stay in hospital. Daisy Mae shares her birthday with Julie Andrew’s and some other very famous actors, Richard Harris being one so you never know, we could be seeing another famous actress!

Both sets of grandparents are delighted with the new arrival and perhaps this will now influence the holiday choices going forward as Luke and Kelli often spend time away with them. We offer our congratulations and best wishes to the families and grateful thanks that Kelli, Luke and baby Daisy Mae are all well and we look forward to meeting her soon.
