It’s Wedding Bells at Makers

It’s been a long time since we had a wedding at Makers then suddenly we are blessed with two in the same month.

Saturday June 17th will become a very special day for Makers Quantity Surveyor Callum and his lovely wife to be Sarah Farr as they will tie the knot at St Cuthbert’s in Shustoke.St Cuthberts Church

Callum and Sarah

Callum has been with Makers for 12 years and holds a degree in Quantity Surveying but on the few occasions we have met Sarah she reminds Callum that she achieved a higher grade.  Sarah also works in the construction industry as Head Marketing Coordinator in Keepmoats busy Nottingham office.

Callum and Sarah have known each other for 10 years buying a house together recently.  They met whilst walking their parent’s dogs around Shustoke Reservoir and have been inseparable since realizing their other passion “Aston Villa Football Club” which has meant they have shared many emotional moments both good and bad.

The wedding day will see this couple who are in their late 20’s celebrate with family and friends and over 120 invited guests to then take a short relaxing break in Scotland followed by the honeymoon to the Maldives in the New Year.

“We are all delighted and excited for Callum and Sarah, they are smashing together and everyone at Makers wishes them every happiness for the future”.

Simon Lamb, MD

Mike and RachelIt’s been a busy year for Michael Wood already at Makers as he settled into his new role as Bid Director in January, but Michael’s focus may have been slightly distracted by his forthcoming marriage to Rachel Ryan.

Michael just about on the right side of 30 has persuaded Rachel who works for NPower to tie the knot at St Thomas’s and St Edmond’s known as Erdington Abbey in Birmingham.

St MarysIntroduced through a friend of the family this engaging couple found they had a lot in common, in particular with their love for music and festivals which will see this transpire into their wedding breakfast as they hope to create “Woodfest”!

On 24th June family and friends will witness the wedding vows in Birmingham then travel to Castle Bromwich to be joined by invited revelers to experience a festival themed evening of entertainment held and conducted under ‘big tepees’.

Mike and Rachel will honeymoon in America later in the year and no doubt will visit one of Mike’s favourite destinations Las Vegas.

“We know Mike has been praying to the sun gods, we all hope it goes to plan and they have a fantastic festival.  We wish them both every happiness for the future and hope wellies aren’t required.”

Simon Lamb, MD

“To both couples we wish you every blessing and hope your respective days are fantastic, enjoyed and remembered by friends and family.”

Congratulations from everyone at Makers.
