We are back at Trafford!

Trafford Centre Manchester Car Park RefurbishmentIt’s great to be back… we have been awarded the repair and refurbishment of the car park at Trafford Centre Manchester following a successful tender process. The last time we were here intu Trafford as was; fell on tough times following the Covid pandemic but forward 3 years and under new ownership we are delighted to be able to assist again in the investment and remodelling of the parking at Trafford Manchester.

This multimillion-pound project will see 18,000m2 of asphalt top deck repaired and overcoated in Triflex Deckfloor system which has been used to great success on previous projects and coupled with a new exclusive VIP area for Selfridge Patrons should see this popular landmark increase its popularity with more high-end clientele.

The areas are being designed with Selfridge’s designers to create a new parking experience as well as protecting the structure and carrying out necessary structural repairs. The lower level will be subject to repairs and coating improving the overall appearance and increasing existing lighting levels.

The initial 15-week program will see the parking environment enhanced and areas at risk improved and this multimillion-pound investment continues to ensure that Trafford Manchester is the shopping destination of choice attracting over 30 million visitors annually.

Original opened in September 1998 after a prolonged period of planning issues this former Manchester Ship Canal Site is now home to over 200 retail outlets, 60 restaurants and other leisure activities including Lego play and multiplex cinema. Accessible by bus, tram and car, easy links and convenient parking are critical to the continued success and smooth operation of Trafford Manchester. Operating 350 coach spaces the Trafford Centre caters for a number of differing modes of transport even the electric car with a sizeable Tesla operation.

The Trafford Shopping Centre originally built by Bovis has grown and expanded becoming the UK’s third largest out of town retail shopping destination. It is rumoured that during its original construction around 10% of the UK’s population lived with a 45-minute drive of the Centre resulting in it becoming one of the UK’s most visited places.
